Current mileage: 205.29 miles
Location: Just got to the Walmart... Oh how I missed you, suburban sprawl.
5/18 - "Aaaand we're off" - Began the journey toward Madison
7/1 - "Finally made it to Madison... just in time for the weekend... This should end well." Kinda self-explanatory

That would be tonight, of course. This'll probably be the biggest game I've played all summer and it'll probably be the longest. So I expect to get at least a mile's worth out of it... if not more, and I'll update it tomorrow so I know exactly how many miles I still need.
I also ran a couple miles on the treadmill. I ran slow just so I could get a little workout before frisbee tonight and to try not to kill my goal of finishing my round-trip tomorrow. I think having this goal is kind of a chore now. I ONLY need 2.71 miles, and that's before frisbee (and softball tomorrow). Hell, those'll probably take up 1.5 on their own. Maybe this is my speed mile? TO THE TRACK!

Almost ran a 7k today, which is the most I've done in awhile. I forgot my route and ended up running further than I planned, but I'll allow it since it gave me the extra .3 miles to do so. Today was a pacing run, I just wanted to get the hang of running slow over a longer distance and I did pretty well with it. And now, I only need a little less than 5 miles to finish up my goal. Huzah!

Hey all. So this is part one for today simply because...well... I haven't run today, yet. I do have some numbers to get out of my head real fast just to see if I can finish my round trip by today or tomorrow. I went on a 2 hour bike ride and played a little bit of frisbee, so the sports miles needed to be updated. Apparently, I have 8.5 miles to run before I finish my trip. I already know I'll be playing frisbee on Wednesday, so that'll take care of at least a mile, so as long as I run a 4k every day, I should be golden.
Now, some sad news: due to a large courseload and an otherwise busy schedule at school, the blog will most likely become inactive as of the end of August. No worries, you can still spot me playing frisbee or running around Madison, but I will not be updating my blog with this information. A formal thanks will be up later to all the people who continue to looked at my blog and made me feel like I had even a little bit of an audience.

It's gettin to be crunch time for going back to college. This leaves me with little time to do much except work, see friends, and most of all... well... it doesn't really allow much for running. I've racked up nearly as many sports miles as I have regular miles. Sadly, the only goal I met was 40 miles in a month...and that was only by a mile.
Still, I have to update my other activities, plus I'm throwing softball in ahead of time just because I know I can play through pain (which, by the way, my ankle is healed!).
I ran approx. 2 miles today just to see if I could run at my old "90%". Turns out I'm more at my old 75-80%, but only by a few seconds and I was running on hills...so that could affect the time a little. I just have to work on my pacing and endurance again through the school year, I guess.

Ever since I played frisbee I've been hurting. My legs tensed up a lot and my calves were dying. Luckily, today was one of the first days they were mostly pain-free. Also, due to one of my running buddies leaving for college, I decided to take a hiatus from running so that I could hang out with them. Taylor, much luck in your first year. Hopefully the few times you ran with me got you in good shape for volleyball.
In other news, I decided to run a 6k today, but cut it short due to lack of food and sleep (smartest decision in terms of my health, haha). Instead, I ran a little over a 5k, with the first half being surprisngly fast (around 6:20 minutes per mile). I was sluggish the second half and that's when I decided to cut it short. No big though, there are many days left to run with or without my goals in mind. Stay tuned, I think there will be many more updates in the coming weeks before I head back to Madison for real.

...It's basically one of my favorite running songs. Google the lyric, you'll find it easily.
Onto the important stuff. I really do have to start from scratch with my endurance and pacing. I tried running a 6.5k and got through the first....3/4ths of it without a hitch. I had to force myself to run the last mile or so just so I could think I was badass again. No big though. I'm pretty happy with my summer of running thus far. I actually finished the run with a half-decent time, too (which just tells me that at the beginning of my runs I'm going REALLY fast and/or I suck at pacing).
I will be playing a lot of sports this week. Volleyball was Saturday, tonight is softball, tomorrow and Thursday are frisbee nights and Friday is a bonfire... where my frisbee may or may not be present. I might break the 10 mile mark in sports miles. Huzah! Also, I'm just putting in my softball time now. If I get injured or play longer, I'll adjust it.
